Thank you for visiting my website! My name is Samantha (Sammi) Pohly, and I'm a New York City based actress, EMT, tutor, and self-proclaimed coffee connoisseur. I graduated with distinction from Yale University in May of 2024 with a BA in the History of Science, Medicine and Public Health.

At a young age, I fell in love with all things performing. Growing up in New York City, I was incredibly fortunate to have the world's best performing arts right in my backyard. My love for the performing arts quickly turned into a calling, and over the years, it has fueled me to pursue acting professionally.

At Yale, I was lucky enough to fully pursue both of my passions: medicine and performing. When I wasn't on stage, you could find me teaching sex education to students in New Haven public schools, studying traditional medicine in Vietnam, or working as an EMT. 

​

My love of both medicine and performing stems from the same place--I consider both to be the ultimate exercise in empathy. When acting, I find nothing more thrilling than committing myself to the world of my character and seeing life through their eyes. I approach every project as an emotional storytelling opportunity and a chance to grow, collaborate, and create with authenticity.
